Default Apexi Induction kit fitted - Questions

Hi,

Last night we fitted an APexi induction kit to a 95 WRX, all seemed fine during the installation so we went for a test drive. First impressions were that there was an enormous amount of "Chatter" even though there is a Forge dump valve installed. Is this normal??

Another problem which may be related but not sure, is on one full throtel acceleration there was a breif cut of power, any idea what this may have been?

One other question is as you look at the engine from the front of the car there is a valve situated on the drivers side suspension pillar, it has 3 pipes going into it, but the bottom pipe didn't seem to connect to anything, but the induction kit instructed us to connect it to the housing of the new apexi?

Any answers appreciated.

Cheers

I would of thought the "chatter noise" is fine and yes you usually get that with fitting an aftermarket induction kit.

I'm pretty sure the valve your on about is the boost solenoid and yes you do have to connect it to the apexi intake but i'm not sure why either

the apexi Ik does flutter so theres no problem there the pipe in question comes from the bottom of the boost solonoide to the nipple on the side of the apexi alloy intake pipe....there should of been a pipe supplied with the kit

The main question now i guess is why wasn't the Boost solanoid pipe connected in the first place ?

Did the car have an aftermarket air filter prior to fitting apexi??...if it did then there was no way of fitting the pipe to that airfilter the pipe would of originally of been fitted to OE airbox
