Down on power HELP
Hi
I have an early 96 sti ra. Can anyone tell me the power at the crank? Can anyone shed any light on why mine gave 238 bhp on the rolling road today????????????????????????????? Its slightly moded with turbo back 2.5inch system, equal length headers, uprated fuel pump, apexi induction kit.
I have just installed an esl daughter board and when this was mapped to the car today on the rollers we managed to get 247bhp at 1.1 bar boost. Gave it a thrashing this evening and got boost cut twice in 4th going up hill. I am very pissed off as i was told today that last week a wrx of similar year and mods got 310bhp WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The car runs without fault and sounds good has very good service history inc all jap history untill it was imported in 2004. If you guys need more info just ask
PLEASE HELP

be surprised with a wrx and same mods hitting 310 bhp at 1.1 bar
It sounds like you have either a leak somewhere, or the car is overboosting which is causing the fuel cut. It could be that you dont have the correct turbo on there (when mine was mapped it was found to have a vf10 instead of a tdo5!)
