Default apexi ecu

if an apexi ecu is for a classic , does that mean it is compatable to any classic , ra ,sti ,wrx or whatever for example . and once mapped for the individual car will work perfectly . or are there different types of apexi ecu units for different types of classic ?

the apexi will go on any model (as long as right year) but you have to have it maped for your car, there are base maps on them but wouldnt want to run these for to long
