Default STILL GOTTA BIG PROBLEM HESATATING AT HIGH SPEED!!!!!!

Posted couple days back about my 1993 wrx hesatating like buggery, got some advice and followed accordingly, reset the ecu checked all boost/air pipes no leaks. car runs absoultly fine pulls fine and boosts fine in 1st,2nd and 3rd but then in 4th its fine until u get to the higher revs change into 5th pulls and boosts fine again but then at high revs again hesitates again while still building up speed then occasionally revs drop and some times get that well known brick wall feeling. if you were driving the car normaly ie speed limits etc you would neva know its only at hig revs in 4th and 5th ie 110mph+ anymore help would be good as got potential buyer coming sunday!!!!!

hi this might not help but i had the very same problem on my 97 cataluna came on here an looked at many of the replys to this problem, an seem to have cured mine by doing the following, first i took all plugs out an cleaned them an reset gaps to 0.8 then reset ecu as per instructions given by various threads on here and drove an normal speeds NO THRASHING for around 80 miles, and last but not least i made sure that i only put the same sort of go go juice in (top of the range bp fuel) this was done 2 weeks ago an mine has not had the problem since, its running at 14psi when comming on boost then drops back to 12psi hope this helps

Try cleaning the boost solenoid had same problem with mine (brick wall and boost up and down) . cleaned it and sorted it !! you say 110mph+ , are the wrx imports restricted to 112mph so you will get fuel cut at that speed ????

Id say snap-on is right it sounds like your hitting the speed limiter mine still has the limiter fitted and cuts big time when it hits 112 feels like hitting a wall as you described

just because it says mph on the speedo doesnt mean its had a full kph/mph conversion it may of only had the speedo face changed....is your speedo accurate?...what speed does it read on the speedo when it cuts?
