Default Decat 53 plate STI

Howdy everyone just bought a 53 plate STI what does it need to decat the exhaust system is it as simple as removing the cats thank's bill

the centre is fairly simple but if going full system a CEL fix will be required.... even better a RE-Map for the performance gains..

good idea to get both done at same time.some tuners won't let you out the gate with out getting a remap done after fitting the de-cat pipes,to much chance of doing serious harm.
i have a sti myself and had a prodrive high flow cat fitted which i thought would be ok to drive the car as normal with for a while, but the guy who i planned to have the car remaped with told me best to take it easy till he got a chance to do his thing.at a guess with a full de-cat this advice would be even more vital.sti's do run very rich as standard but without getting someone to look at it proper its not worth the chance of running a high flow exhaust and melting a piston
