Default PPP for WRX

Hi fellow scoobynetters,

Is anybody aware of any current offers from any dealers for the fitting of PPP kit to MY05 WRX? Last time I asked it was £1600 - still seems a bit steep to me.

Also what are your thoughts on going for a Remap - is this the way to go?

Cheers

Jonesy

Well the obvious thing is, if you PPP the warranty is intact. Go remap route and you lose the warranty.
For a remap, you still need to buy bits before you get it mapped, then you have the cost of the EcuTek license as well as the mappers cost, which is anywhere from 500 to 750 quid alone just for mapping (this includes the first time license). If the same person then remaps that car at a later date, then it will be say 350'ish, but someone else will charge the full amount as they cannot tweak anyone elses map, only replace it with thier own.
Then with labour costs for parts fitting and parts costs, so you will find 1600 aint that bad at all! Considering that they got the price wrong to start with, and then chose to honour it. Was 1600 plus vat but got advertised wrong iirc. So it just became 1600.
