The front cat pipe on my 1992 wrx has started to blow so I've been looking at getting a secondhand replacement as I'll be selling the car next year. I nearly bought one locally but I was told the UK ones and the import ones aren't interchangeable.

Can anyone tell me if this is true as they look the same but he said he got a uk one and it wouldn't fit his wrx but all the after market exhausts show them as being the same (apart from the sensor holes which need blocking off on a wrx)

I really don't want to spend £hundreds on a new one just to see me through til next year if I can avoid it

As long as its from a classic it should be fine

That's what I thought but he said he had tried a classic Uk pipe on his classic wrx and it wouldn't fit so I wanted to be sure
