Default problem solved?

after changing my MAF saturday and re-setting the ecu, the car was much better without the hesitation..then i felt it a couple of times sunday morning.

i filled up with V power and reddex, and TOUCH WOOD ever since yesterday afternoon it has felt pukka.

my question is...after fitted the replacment MAF and re-setting the ecu, is it likely for the car to play up for a few hours while it re adjusts? or should it be immedate?

thanx for all your help, you lot have been awsome!

The car will adjust as it encounters different conditions, but it sounds like you had a bad tank of fuel. Can take a while to clear.

yeah maybe mate - was a bloody nightmare - i was using sainsburys 97 ron for weeks, now got shell v power in there. can it really be that simple as just the fuel? maybe the replacement MAF and reddex helped out too!

It's not so much the fuel but the other stuff that is in the tank at the filling station that causes the problems. It only takes one tank full from a garage that has some water in the tanks to cause problems. If you always go to the same garage and they do have a problem then you keep refilling the car with bad fuel until either they sort it out or you go somewhere else.
