be patient with me im a retard!! Now i have a HKS Hi power back box and centre bit. My car is PPP so the next bit is straight thru prodrive no cat? and i have a cat in the down pipe? correct me if wrong. BUT on the silencer is a f*cking great torpedo thing alongsidfe? what is it and what does it do?many questions but id appreciate a hand.

I'm not too sure but i think that is meant to be a silencer.
I seen one as my mate as it on his car and its a bit weird

so its supposed to be there then!! Most of web pics dont show it. must just be the gdb version! It comes of the silencr pipework and looks like a mild steel torpedo!!

as far as i know and as you said no pictures ever show it.
My mate is running a 93 wrx (Apexi power fc,bigger injectors etc) and made no difference to the running of the car when being mapped.
If in doubt perhaps contacting www.hkseurope.com or anybody who sells them to ask exactly what it is.
