Hello

I have a MY97 Forester S/tb (260bhp WRX engine) and just recently I have noticed a whooshing, chattering noise as I lift off. I have got a standard recir dump valve and I have never heard make a noise before. Do they make more of a noise when they are on their last legs or could this just be turbo stall?

Only makes the noise when I drive hard.

Just a K&N pannel filter

 

Thought so. Mine does the same with a Green Panel filter.

 

Nothing to worry about then?

Sort of but 10 times faster

 

sounds like you got no worries are you driving it harder latley,sounds to me like waste gate chatter most people are happy to have this sound,if you drive it easy does it go away
