pops and bangs

I had probs with the MAF in my MY99 causing over fuelling intern causing lots of pops and bangs to come from my exhaust, on Saturday I took my car into Extreme scoobies for a interim service and had the MAF replaced whilst I was there, but days on I'm still getting some pops and bangs
.
After fitting the new MAF they also reset the ecu so I was just wondering(finally getting to the question) if this will gradually sort itself out over time whilst the ecu relearns or is there another problem? I would have thought Extreme would have found any other faults with the car.
My car also has full decat by the way.

I get a muffled 'puff' (put your hand over your mouth and do a dry spit..
) when going from 2nd - 3rd full chat and occasionally 4-5. Would like to know if there's a bit of flame, but it's hard to find someone who can keep up..
