Question pops and bangs

I had probs with the MAF in my MY99 causing over fuelling intern causing lots of pops and bangs to come from my exhaust, on Saturday I took my car into Extreme scoobies for a interim service and had the MAF replaced whilst I was there, but days on I'm still getting some pops and bangs .
After fitting the new MAF they also reset the ecu so I was just wondering(finally getting to the question) if this will gradually sort itself out over time whilst the ecu relearns or is there another problem? I would have thought Extreme would have found any other faults with the car.
My car also has full decat by the way.

It's prob just unburnt fuel being ignited in the exhaust system mate.
My wrx does it and my Corrado G60 used to do too.

Maybe a coincidence but I found my car 'popped and banged' a little more with Tesco 99 over Optimax. Nothing to worry about though. Surely Extreme should have put you straight on why it was happening?

I get a muffled 'puff' (put your hand over your mouth and do a dry spit..) when going from 2nd - 3rd full chat and occasionally 4-5. Would like to know if there's a bit of flame, but it's hard to find someone who can keep up..

Didnt ask them as I know why it pops and bangs(one of the first things I learnt on here) and it has done it to a degree since I bought car, its just the fact that it seemd to be doing it more regularly and as I had a failed MAF which leads to over fuelling I was expecting it to happen less frequently now the MAFs been replaced.I guess Extreme now what there doing and as they didn't mention anything all must be well.Think I'll give the new VPower a go see if it makes a diferance.I have to say it can be a bit embarrassing sometimes(boy racer image)but it does make my scooby smile that bit bigger if that's possible.
