bolts will be ok
you need the bigger discs that fit the 4 pots think they are 295mm where as the 2 pots are 277mm
take the 2 pot caliper of then take the caliper bracket of the front aswell and the 4 pots are a straight swop then, as are the discs

4 pots
tried to fit the 4 pots using bigger discs, still cant get them to fit, they line up with bolt holes but once i try to put the disc on there is no way to bolt them on,as the discs wont let them fit, does anyone know if the hubs or anything need to be changed?if they dont fit then i will be selling them

nothing else needs to be changed
as long as you have the standard subaru 4 pots and not an aftermarket set, and you've got a pair of 294mm dia discs then everything should be fine.
what exactly isn't fitting?? does the disc seem too wide or can you not fit the disc once the calipers have been fitted?? any pics would be a hand as well
i've gone from 1pot fronts to 4 pot fronts so it's definately possible

Remove wheel
Remove old 2 pot brake caliper - clamp brake hose or plug end to prevent loss of fluid. Best to unbolt caliper and leave hose connected until new caliper fitted then quick swap of hose. Cut with hacksaw the hose mounting hoop on strut, bend carefully to get off without removing brake hose.
Repove caliper support bracket if you didn't undo the caliper from the strut
Disc pulls off the wheel studs
Unbolt the dust shield ( 2 or 3 X 10 mm bolts )
Bolt on new larger dust shields, or do without. Can cut old small ones to remove the inwards facing lip and give clearance for new larger discs
Replace new disc on studs
Put on 4 pots, using holes in strut casting ( that used to hold caliper mounting brackets ) but do not reuse the caliper brackets. Push back the pads to allow the perhaps wider disc to sit betwen them
Tighten everything up.
Swap over the brake hose, straighten the cut strut hoop and refit hose mounting clip
Bleed new calipers.
Enjoy!

cheers guys,i think im getting mixed up with the brackets that the 2 pots are conected to,do i need to reuse them,by fitting the 4 pots to the old brackets that the 2 pots are connected to the strut,as the bolts from my old calipers would not fit the 4 pots, and when i put my discs,or the bigger ones on i couldnt get the calipers to fit,the 4 pots are the ones with subaru on them,i dont have any photos of them, but im sure its the bracket i havent done right

as above
it should be a simple case of undoing the 2 bolts that hold the caliper on, there should be no removable bracket or anything, the mounting points for the caliper are attached to the hub itself and are the same for 1 pots all the way up to 4 pots

Definitely no bracket on the 4 pots. The part where you bolt through to mount to the hub is an integral part of the caliper. Sure it's not that your pads are getting wedged when you try to slide the new caliper back over your 294x24mm discs?
Whatever old caliper bracket you have from your old 2 pots, that definitely shouldn't be used. The new 4 pots bolt directly to the hub, otherwise they won't be spaced out from the centre correctly.
Perhaps you've got some kind of weird hubs?

the bolts you need to remove thread into here on the caliper
nothing else needs to be touched except for the banjo bolt at the back of the caliper that holds the brake line on.
also make sure you fit the caliper with the bleed nipple to the top of the calipr

nope they'll definately be front ones, subaru did do a 2 pot rear caliper with 'subaru' written on them but they will be obvious as being rears as they are quite diddy
as for the mounting stalks/brackets bits on the actual caliper, they should all be the same throughout the subaru range so i can't see why yours would be any shorter
