Can anyone tell me what this is? I mean the black plastic snail shaped thing to the right of the intercooler.

Just out of interest, I'd like to know also...

Is it a one way valve or pressure valve?

 

Could do with a close up of it,but looks like a Fuel Pulsation Damper.
Are there 2 off them fitted - one on the feed and the other on the return
to the tank ??

 

isnt some kind of pump seen them on other cars where they pump and heat the water to bring the car up to temp quicker when cold you can normally hear them giving it death for the first couple of minutes until warm

 

No idea what it is, but i've got one too

 

It's the secondary air pump. This pumps air into the exhaust ports for the first few seconds after a cold start to get the cat working. All about getting through Euro4 emissions.
