Does a standard Rear Strut Brace Fit a Wagon
MY98 Wagon, I want to fit a rear Strut Brace to add a bit more rigidity & was wondering if a Saloon rear strut brace fits the wagon ?? My plan would be to fit some quick release Pins also to enable removal of the brace when the Wagons earning it's Keep
Anyone done this ???
Thanks

Just about to do this, so I'll see. Can't think why it wouldn't work though. I had exactly the same idea about using QR bolts. Where I'll get them from though, I don't know. Maybe a mountain bike shop or something?
Just fitted it, no problems at all. I presume it's a saloon brace because it has a weird cutout off the strut mounting ring that doesn't seem to correspond with what you see when you reveal the strut tops in the wagon. The only thing is you'll need to remove or cut slots in the strut top covers for it to work. Once the brace is on, it pokes out.
Hi
Have you considered installing a White Line ARB and drop links? I put one my my 98 Wagon about 4 months ago and it transformed it. No more understeer, just point it and it goes round corners. Only problem is that it has shown up just how bad my Pirelli tyres can be in the wet!!
Maybe you have this already, but the beauty is that it goes under the car and doesn't affect the load space. Thats my 2 pence worth, good luck with whatever route you choose.
