Air Condition maintenence?!?
Hi all. Need a little help and advice. Reason I am posting here is that I live in norway and finding the information I need on cars is not an easy job.
Anyway my questions. How do you maintain your air condition unit on a 1997 2.0 non-turbo Impreza? Is it a case of topping up liquid or is it a gas system? Can I do it or must it be done by an expert. Remembering that an expert in Norway will cost ALOT! Sorry for the ignorance but better to check with the experts than messing it up myself.
Thanks in advance for your help.
John

All car aircon systems are pressured gas, so taking it to a garage/aircon specalist is the only option really.
Just for your interest, if you look in the engine bay, you should see a couple of red and blue caps. This is where the gas bottle is plugged in to re-pressurise the system.
Hope that helps

Ok guys, thanks alot for your help.
Any way of telling if the system is ok without using an engineer? There is no problem at the moment with it, just that winter is coming and Id like to be sure its working ok.
