I've got a 93wrx and had it for 3 years last Sunday it was pointed out to me that i have an IHI turbo (never bothered looking before).
On the plate identifing the turbo the turbo spec plate and part number are blank.
The serial number starts off with RH ican't get a good look because there is a 90deg bit of pipework pointing upwards blocking off any good view of it and cannot get a good piccy to show.
Does anybody know what turbo it could be(the car was running a power fc but it was taken off)?
Yes i know its 'how long is apiece of string type question' but any help would be appreciated.

If its an import it'll have a td05 turbo if not it will have a small turbo.

 

Td05 turbos are Mitsubishi, therefore not IHI.

 

Right i've looked on IHI website and all it states is that it is a RH series turbo were these fitted to any imprezas as standard?

 

Legacy turbo I think..

I would be inclined to get a TD05 for it..

does the 90deg 'nose' bolt on?? probably a VF10 or 12 off a leggy turbo...............

Thanks for the replies just had a look and it looks like the 90deg elbow is welded to the turbo.
Are there any problems running this turbo (i have a z4 ecu running the car)
