Default New fuel pump fitted,broke down,now won't start..HELP!

hi guys,

i've been trying to find other threads with this prob but can only see ones for classic's.

i've got a 02 wrx, an just had a service an uprated fuel pump fitted yesterday, on the drive home (about 30 miles ) the car just totally cut out, managed to get to the hard shoulder, then when tried to start her up it seems no fuels going through. no little buzzing noise , not ticking over, etc etc.

loads of previous threads talk about relays an fuses etc.

can anyone help me out please?

It sounds like your new fuel pump mate. I know fuel pumps can have an intermitent fault because thats what happened with mine. One minute everything was ok and then the car just wouldnt start. If you left it a few hours the bugger would be ok again. Drove my local main dealer nuts cos whenever they tried to find the fault it was fine then failed an hour after i picked it up. After they charged me £47 + labour for a new relay which wasnt needed and kept the car for over a week I fitted a new pump and it was alright after that. Can you refit your old pump?
