Default 4000rpm to 5000rpm missfire

hiya got to say a big hi to you all im new to the scooby world last car was a 3000gto
i have now a uk wrx 1996 wagon
its got a tsl firestorm back box
decat down pipe
and i think a jap ecu

ok im having a bit of probs dont have a clue what it is at 4000rpm when i put me foot down it start to miss fire all the way to 5000rpm and then ok after a long drive the is ok had it on a roling road and thay tell me its over fuling all the way thrugh the range but a little worse around 4 to 5 k
thay sugeted to get a boost controler so i have just got it today apix avc-r
dont have a clue how to fit it but ill find some one have you got a any things that the 4 to 5 k thing could be



also me being thick were is the ecu located with thanks

Jason, you need to get your ecu mapping look at and setup with your boost controller, all at the same time. Also, do you know what condition your plugs are in? They're a pain to get out but worth checking before anything else.

Dont fit boost controller and guess boost settings without sorting map etc...very not recommended.
