Default problems with Underdriven pulleys?

Thinking of getting a set of light weight pulleys and seen a lot of under driven ones for sale.

Has any one had any problems with the battery charge during winter with the crank being smaller????? Bit worried as it takes a hammering on the cold dark mornings

Cheers

yes, although i have not actually had a flat battery yet, when fully loaded up with the wipers/heaters etc etc switched on, and sitting at some traffic lights, the system is not charging at all, i can blip my throttle and make the wipers speed up.

also my power steering can feel a little "lumpy" at low rpms
