CEL comes on now and again on start up and for the first few seconds of driving.
It also would'nt start the other morning, when it did start cel was on, idle was unsteady and it died. It started on the 4th or 5th go though.
Once driving cel never comes on and car drives well, any ideas what it could be??

Checked for codes bot nothing came up!!

Car is 94wrx has decat and dv and they have been on for a few months now, with no probs before!!

mine has been playing up recently

never logs an error code either

i was sitting at some traffic lights and it came on, by the time the lights had went back to green it was off

2 days back it came on while cruising at 30mph, this time it stopped on for a few mins then went back off, this is a 97wrx

Yes, its a standard ecu.
Could it be the fuel pump, oil pump maybe as it only happens on cold start.

 

hi i have a 94 wrx and i have full decat and dump valve n i have same prob but my cel light just keeps going on and off but once i put foot down my car jurks around 5th rev but then clears it self n i cant find fault as well

 

Do the radiator fans come on?

Could be coolant temp sensor. Try doing a search to see if symptoms are similar.
