Boost @ High Revs

Boost @ High Revs
I know im going on a bit today.........................sorry !
I have a 95 WRX import with rebulit engine, it has forged pistons etc, im running anything between 1.2 and 1.4 bar depending on mood im not sure what the boost is doing at high revs, the boost controller is electronic and displays boost i cant really see it properly ( previous owner put it too low down ) I have a boost gauge to install (so i can see it !) what kind of boost would be considered safe at 8k revs ?
Im assuming the turbo is going to run out of puff at that RPM but im not 100% sure ! The controller can be adjusted to wind the boost back when it hit's the desired level but this happens too early really !
Any ideas/thoughts greatly appreciate !

Well you should see a steady 1.4 bar at max revs, although I'd say going all the way to 8000 is a bit pointless, I think the Scooby makes most power around 6500, depending on mapping of course.
Of course this can depend on what turbo you have.
