For winter use that would probably be fine but to be totally honest, a 5/40 or 10/40 would be preferable and would be suitable for all year use. There are a number of good, full synthetic oils of these weights available. Use a semi-syn. for the first few thousand miles to allow proper bedding-in before full-syn.

As John says, a 0W will be a bit thin for a Scoob. I have just started buying Fuchs Titan Supersyn SL 5W40 from Euro Car Parts in bulk. If you buy the 25 litre drum for 86 quid it works out at less than 16 quid per change, based on a 4.5 litre drop. Had the quality of this stuff verified by Scoobynet's own "oilman" too, he says it is excellent and sells it himself.
