Beat me to it Andy.. ditto.. depends what VF.. although if you just want to replace the TD04 on your car and not have hassle of remap etc then it is not gonig to suit your needs.. although it is a bit off telling you it is one thing only to find it is something else.

in response to any posts i sold this turbo in good faith to you, the numbers have not been wiped off the black ink mark is to make the letters more readable as they have been etchd in to the houseing the turbo is in good working order you checked the turbo as its condition, as far as i was concerned it was a td04 i removed from the engine fitted to my car which turned out to be a wagon engine in my94wrx, and lastly you should havemade contact with me first and waited for a reply before propergating bad feeling something sold in good gesture p.s i would have posted it but you were visting family in birmingham so it was not a special trip out of your way.

Be quite clear. A TDo4 is not a VF10 or VF anything else.
If you buy a TD04 it will be stamped TD04.
We are not talking about whether the performance is similar we are talking about the description of the turbo.
If you sell a VF10 as a TD04, you may have possibly made an innocent mistake in ignorance but clearly it will have been described wrongly if it was referred to as a TD04.
If someone buys a VF10, believing it to be a TD04, then clearly they have little knowledge on the subject and are relying on the vendors assurance that it is what he says it is.

You sold it as a TD04. Unfortunately it was not. Everybody can make a mistake but it seems the purchaser relied on your description and that is the point. The fact he examined it and did not know it was not a TD04 or querry it at the time highlights his ignorance. That does not absolve you from representing it as a TD04, no matter how innocent or mistaken you were.

harvey i respect you are a highly regarded member on this fourum but as to the best of my knowledge i believed it to be td04 hence the reason why i removed it in the first place, from my my94wrx saloon, if fullboost had contacted me in a sensible adult manner about the item a refund would be the only thing to resolve the problem but the fact tried to pm once and because i was not online to defend myself that he has openly slated me and insulted my inteligence saying i had ripped him off tried to to hide the identity of the item is just unnacceptable at the end of the day he checked, and confirmed the item was correct and purchased it

You responded to an advert for a TD04 turbo.
thats why it was put thereto highlight the etching
I am not condoning the way Fullboost has gone about this but that does not negate your responsibility.
If you are a man of honour and integrity, you will take responsibility for miss selling it in the first place, no matter the genuine mistake on your part or the apparent hastey action by the purchaser.

Harvey has it 100%.
Regardless of the hows, whys, innoncence and good faith.
The turbo was sold as something it is not.
FullBoost has been a numpty about it, thats as may be, but he paid for a td04 and as yet doesn't have it.
