2001 BUGEYE WRX UK300(mods)
hi,
i have had my car for just over a month now, i have just had walbro255 fuel pump,kn panel filter, iriduim plugs, full 3" decat system fitted and i am very pleased with the results
, now im looking at some more engine mods. what could i buy which will give me more power/torgue without having a remap. i was thinking a sti8 top mount but dont know if it would require remap.
also thinking of spending some money on the chasis set-up, what would be the best things to buy to upgrade the handling and brakes.
thanks

you shoudl get away with not remapping the intercooler. Simplest thing for extra power would be to remap what youve got. Combined with the intercooler that should give you a decent 275-280 and the same sort of torque.
In terms of chassis and brakes, the easiest and cheapest thing for the brakes is a set of braided goodrich hoses (£70) decent set of pads and good quality fluid (super dot 4 or 5.1) could do all of that and have change from £200 with ease.
If you dont already have a set of eibach or prodrive springs then you can get those for about 175 or so and will sit the car around 25mm lower all round and make the drive much nicer (with proper geometry set up)
you could then add solid rear drop links (and front if funds allow) and maybe a rear 22mm anti roll bar.
This will give you a pretty solid all round a/b road blaster
places like powerstation could do all that inhouse as a one stop shop.
As can a fair few others, Such as API, roger clark, scoobyclinic etc...
