Reading an earlier thread on idling makes me wonder............
When starting from cold my car (00 uk full dcat) idles at about 1500-1600 until it warms up then reduces to 600-700. starting when warm it idles at 600-700. I assumed this was normal, have had similar on other cars. Anyone know if this sounds right?
Did have a new Maf 6 months ago to cure erratic idle/stall when stopped, though hi initial idle has always occured, before and after maf change

mine does this also dont think its anything to worry about im not

 

1500-1600 rpm is normal when warming up, the ecu will go into a closed loop adding plenty of fuel until the engine is warm
