are you planning on running 400 bhp on a std internal wrx, as you may strugle with the 20g
I know with my turbo ( bigger than the 20g ) the STI's seem to be able to get through the 400bhp mark mine seems to be 10+ bhp off - or I could change rolling road

I know that on my STi 6 Wagon the APS CAK was restrictive at 400 bhp, probably before and I would imagine that much the same applies to other cars including New Age. The filter supplied with the APS CAK at the time was from K+N who themselves confirmed the filter was not suitable for 400 bhp.
At the time, APS in Australia told me the CAK was intended for something around 320 bhp and at the same time they said there was no need for a remap although it might be advisable.
My advice would be that under no circumstances fit an APS or similar CAK without having your MAF sensor rescaled.

The MY99-00 APS CAK is restrictive above 400, also its definatley NOT a good idea (or a bad one) to fit to a maf based car (read still using oem ecu) without a remap as it causes up to 25% under fueling with the inevitable result. If remapped on a std engine then, yes, its a good item.

Hi gents, Andy has already mapped it / scaled the MAF to suit, Im currently at 370HP. Im waiting to get tweak mapped now from Andy after recently fitting 650's, 3.5" APS system, GT spec headers & Bigger IC. Ninnybobs has the RCM CAIK over my APS unit and he is curently just at the 400HP limit on the same rollers and virtually same spec, with standard WRX internals, so im just interested in finding out if the CAIK will be the limiting peice in the jigsaw !
May try a larger filter on the end, has anyone tried this?
Also I still havent heard from anyone running a newage above 400HP with the APS CAIK, Surely someone is out there??? If not then whats my alternatives??

There is a chap who runs his wrx newage at york and elvington am sure he is on the aps kit but he has now fitted a larger filter and tweek of map, this allowed him to get into the 11's on the 1/4 mile before he was in the low 12's, there was a post in general about him making the 11's.. find him...
