hi guys new boy in town! right probably going to bore you all with a question that has probably been answered a thousand times, but here comes q.1001 i am pretty sure i have a closed deck block engine in my 95 wrx import which has been changed at some time in its life! but what i would like to know is if there is anyway of telling if this engine was fitted with forged pistons as std as i would like to modify the perfomance, and from what i read these are the best starting blocks to build on, i can make out no.s on the engine casting at the back near the bell housing but as yet not found any info referring to engine no.s plenty about models and years manufact but nothing to id engine, maybe i am not searching in the right places? ANYONE PLEASE!
