if i change my standered ecu on my 93 wrx import would i get noticable gains an would it be a straight swop? its ben fully de-cat'd an has a hks manifold

as far as i know you will feel a diference as it runs at 1 bar boost as my friend has one fitted to his 93 wrx and it is just plug and play mate

Actually runs 0.9 bar and yes you do feel a difference (fitted one to my 93wrx this week) smoother off boost and obviously on boost feels a lot harder.
30 mins max to fit

The Z4 or Z5 is ideally suited to your current std turbo (TD05) - it will have a higher boost target than the original WRX ecu (12.71psig rather than 11.47psig) plus the maps are similar to that from the Prodrive ECU so will provide noticeable gains.
