Lighter socket question
just tried to plug in my PDa but realised lighter socket not working on my Blobeye STi....Its a JDM so the japanese fuse box guide is not much help....i havent actually noticed anything else amiss with the electrics so unsure as to why this has happened....had a quick whizz thru the fuses and no breaks!
anyone be able to advice please?

Yes mate. If your certain the fuses are all in tact i would get behind the cigarette lighter socket and see if you have a supply there. Use a multimeter. Not got one !! Try Maplins well cheap in there.

Have you had any work done thats had the fascia off etc. I did for something and they forgot to plug it back in when they put it all back together. But it`s a right pain to get to.

I have 2 or 3 blob eye JDM's fpr sale and quite often the cigar lighter is not actually wired in. They sometimes have a black plastic dummy cigar lighter in the hole.
Dunno if it's to do with trying to discourage smoking in Japan or what. But I have seen it before a number of times.
In fact we had an inspection of a sales car by the AA or RAC on Friday on behalf of a customer and one of the engineers comments was that the cigar lighter didn't work.
He seemed Ok when l told him why.
I expect that you may need to wire it in properly yourself. Can't think why the Japanese even bother to fit the thing if it doesn't work......
