Default Which panel filter??????? Green???

Are the green panel filters any good? And are they of any benefit over a standard 2003 wrx filter?

Was there a group test of these filters somewhere?

Thanks

I've got a green panel filter fitted to my sti (standard engine), Don't notice any gains, and a test (albeit non laboratory type stuff) showed very littled gain over a standard filter about 1bhp and 1 lbtq (from JP mag a while back)

It is however cheaper, as you can just wash it and respray with oil rather than but a new filter every year

Thanks for the advice.

I've only just had my filter changed (2k miles ago) so might wait a while then reconsider it.

Cheers

Fitted a pipercross panel , seems a little more responsive then the standard sti filter .

I fitted a GREEN panel filter to my bugeye WRX but swapped it to an HKS Hybrid because I read some (scaremongering ) stories on here that oiled filters can **** your MAF. Didn't notice any detrimental effects from taking out the GREEN and putting in the HKS.

AFAIK this was a problem with early K+N filters, but has been sorted out by changing the type of oil they use, and less of it
