My dump valve has stopped making a noise . Its a HKS SSQV valve fitted over 2 years ago to a 2002 UK WRX which is standard. I took the valve off this morning to see if it was stuck, but no the internal workings were free to move. The small pipe looks ok and is still connected. So whats wrong .

I know dump valves are not everyones cup of tea but any help with this problem would be of great help .

it sounds like the diaphram has gone inside so it sticks open are you having boost problems

 

it may also need a good clean not sure how you do the hks but usually clean mine every 6 months as it does get full of ****.

 

Thanks for the replies . Put the origional one back on and will probably keep it on. Going to strip the DV and have a good look/clean. Some white stuff like chalk came out of the small pipe .
