Need a bit of techie help
Hi All
I have a set of three gauges to fit the unsual suspects oil temp, oil pressure and boost. I need a little help with the wiring, I have wires to connect up and just don't know what I a looking for under the all that plastic trim.
The wires are:
Red-goes to battery +ve (I would guess at taking power from cig lighter)
Black- goes to ground (Same as above)
Brown-goes to side light for night dimming (need to know what I am looking for)
Yellow-goes to the acc on the igniton barrel postion two (need to know what I am looking for)
Orange-goes to power on the igniton barrel the wire which is live when the the car is running (need to know what I am looking for).
Also I have heard that as well as using a oil filter adaptor plate to mount the senders you can also fit a tee piece into a spare take off above cylinder three? What and where should I be looking for this take off point and which would give the most helpful readings at the filter or above cylinder three?
Have been through a few threads and not found any answers so all constructive help appreciated

I have just done these three gauges. I put the oil temp into an M18 plug above cylinder three - I don't remember seeing a T piece there. The plug isn't being used for anything else and you need an adaptor for the sensor to fit. An LMA067M from Motorsport Engineering sorted out my autogauge sensor.

Hi MT
Can you give me a bit of help as to where the plug is, I do have the adaptor (which is the tee piece mentioned above) just need to know where in the engine I should be looking, can't seem to find an info in the manual I have or searching on here. Cheers for the responce though at least I konw I am on the right track.

If you take peer down past the left front side of the intercooler (as you are looking at it) you should be able to see a 1" diameter round plug with a hexagonal recessed socket in it. You'll probably need to push a couple of pieces of black piping out of the way but it's there. To get at it you probably have to take off the intercooler but you don't to see it.
