how woulda leaky downpipe gasket affect performance on a 98 uk turbo? ive fitted a sports cat a while ago and i think i can hear it blowing when cold from the downpipe gasket, would it affect performance significantly?

im going to get a new gasket and change asap.

if its the gasket from turbo to downpipe it could all sorts of problems with back pressure and could! cause overboost if its blowing badly.
