I've tried loads of wrap, best I've found is DEI from Nimbus motorsport.

Not only does it last, but its easy to wrap and doesn't fall apart like others

Assuming thin walled steel aftermarket headers as opposed to cast iron std. headers... Though there's an argument for wrapping them too.

Pre-turbo the gains come from keeping the energy in the exhaust gases rather than losing it through the headers. As exhaust gases cool, the pressure and speed drops, they don't whack the turbine wheel as hard or as soon.

After the turbo, it's more about heat management IMO. Unless you've got a centre cat.

I use the DEI as it has proven superior to the many others I have tried. It also has a stitching down the side which acts as a guide when wrapping and helps to reduce wasre.
