Default Lambda sensor/decat

I have an my97 UK turbo with magnex centre decat and backbox.

I also have an HKS decat downpipe which needs a small lambda sensor. Is there any harm in running without the lambda?

on your age car the lamba sensor is located at the top of the d/pipe just after the turbo..................all of the subarus use the same size lamba, but the early JDM cars had it in the manifold collector near the front of the car

it sounds like the pipe you have may be for the early JDM cars that had a cat sensor in the lower part of the d/pipe, small hole which can simply be blanked off

does your de-cat pipe have the boss for your car??

i had the decat on for about 6 months, theres a small fitting at the base of the decat that looked like a slimline lambda sensor fitting. I`ve been trying to find a bolt that i can get welded onto the side of it and a hole drilled to fit the lambda.

Is it harmful to run without it though?

that is what i explained as the cat sensor hole, nothing to do with your lamba sensor and will not fit.......................

are you meaning you don't have your lamba connected??

at the moment i`ve put the cat pipe back in while i try and get a hole drilled and a nut welded on. For about 8 months i`ve run without a lambda sensor at all as its supposed to fit on the neck of the downpipe next to the turbo
