Broken Scooby
I have broken my scooby!! UK MY00 Impreza Turbo, 90K.
Leaving the M6 Toll Road on Friday afternoon I heard a rattling noise in the engine which worried me so came off the motorway. Before I had reached the end of the slip road the Check Engine light came on and it cut out.
Len @ Subaru4You says it's "Cream Crackered" - big ends, crankshaft, pistons etc etc.
What is the best thing to do? A rebuild or a new bottom half?
Anyone know where I can get a cheaper 'short engine'? Subaru UK apparently want to charge £1,800.
Any advice is appreciated as I am car-less and skint!
