Default Which Impreza???

I keep hearing so many opinions on sti's Wrx's etcc.... in terms of actual speed which at the end of the day is all we really care about, what is the fastest we can realistically expect to push these baby's too, i have the std uk turbo which is fast enough and have driven sti's type r's Wrx uprated models etc... but still love my original uk baby, torn between upgrading or just staying as i am, however i respect and love any scooby so opinions greatly appreciated to force me to shell out the dosh.

Probably be a lot cheaper to upgrade?

When I bought my MY00 UK Turbo it had standard bhp (215) and now running 273bhp/273lbft.

BIG difference!

As it already had Magnex cat-back, change only cost me about a grand.

£600 for remap, £300 for Sports cat dpipe and £40 for a panel filter.

This gives nearly STi power, but as yet my suspension is standard.

Depends on how much you want to spend?

agree with stix, id upgrade if it serious power your after. my 95 wrx is a stock 240ps (due to the 93 engine and ecu set up - probably a transplant?), anywho im getting a full decat syatem fitted on sat with a ninja backbox and afterburner centre/downpipe. that coupled with a decent panel filter and a remap courtesey of scoobyclinic when funds allow, id hope to hit 280-300 eventually without a huge amount of mods to keep the monster reliable. plus my insurance is well over £2k a year as it is!

good luck matey

andy.

Agree - bought mine for a low price (£5k) and then spent £1600 on it within a month
