Smile Throttle Body change Help Please

Hi All,

I need your assitance.

I am currently fitting a complete US spec 2.5STI engine and gearbox (with all ancilaries) to my 94WRX ra.

The US engine has a Drive by Wire Throttle Body. I want to remove this and change it for a cable operated type.

I will be building a new loom and using a Motec M800 ECU, so no worries about the engine not running on a different Throttle Body.

My questions are:

1. Will a newage 2.0l one fit?
2. Do they include Idle Control Valve?
3. Where can I get one?
4. Is it ok to delete the water heating on the Throttle body considering the car will not be used in cold weather?

Thank you if you can help.

NASIOC probably has the answer to swapping the throttle bodies over - the pictures I've seen look like there is no problem though.
The cable TB has a built in ICV and yes, the water pipes can be linked together to bypass the throttle body.
Try the likes of API engines for a spare body.
