impreza thermostat housing

Hi everybody - is there anyone can tell me if the thermostat housing on a 2L turbo MY99 can be removed? I've sheered a bolt in the back of the housing and I can't get it out.

its part of the water pump assembly, i once repaired a customers car who did the same thing, by removing the radiator, etc. and using a right angle drill to recover the hole
