Default Eibach springs knocking on 05my

Hi guys this is for a m8 really he's just put some Eibach springs on had them done at scooby clinic and there was a few knocks on the way back we put it down to settling in. 1 week later and still the same took it back and they took them off to find the coils where hitting the setted part of the spring at the top. They fitted whiteline springs and this improved but still a slight knock could be heard have any of you come across this before as he really wants it lowering but don't want to fork out on coil overs..

Front or rear?
The Prodrive versions don't seem to suffer this problem. (made by Eibach?)

would it not be possible to cable tie the springs to the seats, (obviously using bloody thick cable ties)

Ive heard of this problem before with these aftermarket springs. A freind of mine had the same problem and replaced them for Tein which i have after he tried numerous attempts of reseating them. I beleive Eibach are now aware of this problem and are re-engineering it!!
