1.6 Impreza?
So I passed my test almost a month ago and Like everyone on this forum have always had a thing for imprezas, but up until recently thought I'd never be able to afford to insure one.
However looking through the model options on my insurers website brings up quite a lot of 3 and 5 door 2wd imprezas with a 1598cc engine size. This would be affordable for me to insure, But I was just wondering where do I find one? Classified ads, auto trader and ebay only return 2 litre imprezas, nd the only 1.6 ive been able to find are either estates, or too old for what im looking for (pre 1994)
So does anybody have any suggestions as to where/what i look for?
cheers

hi mate can i ask how old you are... i passed my test in march this year when i was 21 (was 22 a few days ago) and i had a 2.0. scoob sport. that was £1510 tp f&t through tesco and was my first car. ive now got my 95 wrx and its £2250 fully comp, no ncb or anything, just did some research.
ebay may be a source for some 1.6 replicas. especially for insurance. think my sport was group 13, and my wrx 19/20 i think. depends on your age. i could get isured on a 2wd 1.6 lx for £975 fully comp. did the research.
good luck

I'm 17 and passed my test three weeks ago, my cheapest quote so far has been 1300 on a 1,6 impreza. but the thing is there's quite a few other cars I could pick up that are loads quicker and will be cheaper to insure, e.g 306 1.8xs, 106 gti, civics and astras and even (god forbid) saxo vtrs. So at the moment, until i can afford to buy and insure a 2 litre turbo, getting an impreza isnt looking too likely
thanks for your help anyway.
