Connection under steering column, what is it!?
Hi,
On the panel under the steering column I have noticed a terminal where you can connect some sort of cable. Anyone have any ideas what it is? Its quite a wide socket, bout the same size as a PC parallel cable. Its a 98 STI Type R import so I have no manual to see what this is.
Secondly I keep trying to get some parts for the car but all the websites of breakers I write off to never reply. Its quite rare as its a coupe but I would have thort most of the parts are the same as a normal STI. Admitedly they are quite small parts so maybe they just think its not worth there while.
Anyone know of any goods sites that might reply or of any Scooby breakers I can visit near the Milton Keynes area?
Cheers guys.

It monitors data from ECU - Boost, RPM, AFR, Ignition timing, temperatures, max speed, knock control etc.
Those who know their tuning stuff will be able to advise further, or take a look at the PSi3 website www.psi3.co.uk and take a look at the ECU data monitors for more info

I thought you could only use a SECS unit on 99 onwards due to the ECU .
what parts are you after???
Have you tried on here in the for sale section or try posting in the wanted section.
You could try API they avertise on here, they break cars as well as fix um, a little bit more expensive than say ebay but you'll get a warranty and it'll always turn up, they are near leamington
