Kumho Korean Ditchfinders are probably to blame - some decent tyres will make a difference.

I've just added Whiteline solid droplinks and 22mm adjustable Anti-Roll Bar at the rear of my STI and now get zero understeer and plenty of lift-off oversteer. Well worth the money if you're trying to dial out understeer.

If you got the cash I strongly recommend the Power Station Bump Steer mod.
They fit Whiteline ARBs, alloy drop links, anti lift kit and the bump steer casters plus a full geometry set up.

This will not only completely eliminate understeer, but it will enable you to corner harder due to the bump steer mod and acceleration will inprove due to the anti lift kit providing lower ground stability.

I know a few ppl that went this way and they simply say WOW! I on the other hand wishing I could afford the lot went for the cheaper option of a rear adjustable ARB, drop links and the anti lift kit - total cost for parts £400 self fitted, made shed loads of difference!
