Question Whats the max BHP anyone has run with 76mm std ID with MAF and induction kit?

Anyone out there know the limits of the 76mm inlet tract using MAF on say a cold air induction kit? With ecutek rescales what is the max bhp obtained without increasing the ID for further MAF rescaling?

Just look in the Demon Tweeks red catalogue. Custom filters have always been listed that way. If your aim is say 400bhp, that needs a certain amount of airflow in a certain amount of time and there's no getting round it. K&N, Green etc simply take those numbers and catalogue their custom filters by how much surface area they've got, at what flow rate. Hence you can get very large K&N and Green cone filters that can support 340bhp, 500bhp, 650bhp, etc. The bonus is because these are not 'retail' kits, they are dirt cheap (IIRC)

i did do thaqt and actually bought the largest K&N that they seemed to do for a 76mm inlet, however it had no chance in hell of fitting in the wing so i had to sell it on...

Hi Neil,

Funny enough I got mine from Demon - on their cat its rated to 400 bhp, but tech chap K&N said because fitting to turbo, it will be good for 700 bhp!

Anyone gone to 500 bhp with 76 mm inlet and Maf?

Question

Shock horror - I've just found that although my inlet pipe is 76mm outside diameter with thin wall alloy, the MAF area is stepped and goes down to 68mm.

Anyone know limits of this setup bhp wise with or without MAF fitted?
