Default Overboost?

I’ve had my Sti 8 remapped at WRC Tech. (the WRC330 Pack with cold air intake). It now feels like there is a misfire between 3 and 4k revs. I’ve had the spark plugs, coil packs and air flow meter checked out and they are ok.
Is it possible that the car is overboosting? (it boosts to 1.6 bar at about 3700 revs) If so, would a boost controller help?

Over boost can often be a sense line disconnected or split/perished from the boost control solenoid. Chk to ensure your sense lines are all in good shape before you consider a boost controller. 1.6 bar seems pretty high to me.

1.6 is a bit high, but probably too rich in that area making it choke, that feels like a misfire.

They would/should easily sort if you take it back

cheers

I have been back to the mapper, but he said that it was compressor surge and that it was normal.

I have now cleaned the solenoid and checked the pipes but the misfire is still there. Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?
