Default Steering rack question please help!

Hi all

My car failed its mot, due to a split boot, and leaking seal on the rack, I am pretty handy at working on cars and do most of my own work..

I have got a replacement rack, ready to put on, however, I am struggling to get the one on the car off.

I cant work out how to get a spanner on the two pipes going into the top part of the rack near the union/box.

I just can't seem to get a spanner on these to get them off ??

I have cracked the ball joints removed the plate in the middle, and am ready to remove the rack bolts, but like said, I am struggling to work out how to undo the feed pipes.

Can any one please pass on some advice, on the best way to get to these to remove them.

I have done a search, but can't find anything relating to these, but several threads about changing the rack.

Really would appreciate some advice

Thanks Mick
