Default Lamda sensor same on all MY93's?

Just a quick question. Is the lamda sensor located in the exhaust manifold as standard on all MY93's? I cant see one on the cat downpipe on my car, but its very difficult to get a proper look. Just want to be sure before I weld up the hole for it on the decat system I just purchased. What year did they move it to the downpipe location?

Yep its in the manifold, you can see it if you look up under the front drivers side of the car.

Why are you removing the lambda?

Because I only need one. The decat downpipe I have has a hole in it to accept a lamda sensor. I think the exhaust is made to fit all classic models, some of which must have the lamda in the downpipe. As mines in the manifold I'll just use that one and plug the hole in the downpipe.

Just to confirm, mine is in the headers and my decat downpipe sensor location has a bolt welded into it.

If its an early WRX you'll find its a right **** to get the Lambda into the hole because the bracket for the slanty TMIC is in the way..

If you really feel the need to move it most exhaust places will be able to sell you a bung to fill the hole for a couple of quid, or use the bung to fill the hole in the down pipe.
