For those who know their ECU`s
Here we have 2 ecus, A 7D and a Z4,which is which ?
Also, as they look bloody identical, how do you tell which from which ?
what part contains the mapping for the fuel they use ?
i dont intend to map these etc etc but am just curious to know which part in their standard from contains the mapping.
cheers.....

Just found this bit of info
Just keep an eye out for an ECU with a socket already in it, my Z5 had a socket and I'm told the following model numbers also have sockets pre built so you literally just have to drop the chip in (no soldering):
V7, 6D, 7D or 7K

Normally the UK ECU's already have the 28pin socket fitted whereas the JDM variant requires one fitting (some JDM ecu's have had sockets fitted which can be identified by the soldering) - the easiest way to tell is to 'dump' the map via the select port and compare the map to a true Z4 map - but this requires software etc
Cheers
