MAF wrecked??
Hi folks, after both cleaning out the throttle body and running an injector cleaner through, my wagon is still acting up!! i'm beginning to fear its the mass air flow meter acting up.. theres a K&N panel filter in the standard airbox, could this be drawing oil on to the maf? whats happening is she chugs like hell under 2000 RPM in ALL gears..Any ideas you guys have would be really appreciated.

its an MY98 wagon, and its hesitating really badly up to 2000 RPM in ALL gears.. I was afraid to use carb spray on the maf because ive heard it can be damaging to some types of sensor, especially hot wire types.. Ill try it in work tomorrow and let you know!

my car was running lumpy untill i put my new MAF in, a Maf on the way out doesn't alway show up an error code which is a bit of a pain. did you try disconnecting it while the car is running, if it's working the car should cut out, if it's on the way out your car shouldn't cut out, hope this helps...

hmm, ill try that! was talkin to a really nice guy in Carroll & Roche today, and he said he'd DTC scan the car for me for free tomorrow. Hopefully that'll shed some light on the subject I'll keep you guys posted. Also, i was thinkin of buying an A'pexi power fc ECU-does anyone know if it'll work on a boring, 1600cc non-turbo? Thanks
