Advantages of Sti Filter
Purchasing an STI panel filter which is costing approx £50.
I heard these STI filters are highly recommended so I hope thats right!!
What am I likely to achieve from this filter? Will I notice better response, and will It make the engine noise increase etc?

Only difference I found was a slight increase in spool up sound.
Any differences in performance were all in my head.
Sccobymag ran a test of some panel filters - the STI included, and it didnt fair too well IIRC.

You will not find any benefit from the STi filter over the O/E. Having conducted extensive tests, back to back, I found there was very little difference in power output between the filters I tried and the filter that performed best probably did not filter very well.
The difference between best and worst was just over 2 bhp.
